Update: 10/23 Charmin was losing weight and not eating much. An x-ray shows signs of arthritis in her spine. When she was spayed her bladder was unusually large and filled with fluid. My name is Honey.
My family drove off one day, and left me alone, in the back yard. I kept crying and barking for them to come home. It was so hot out, and I was very scared. They forgot to leave me any food or water. I’m just a puppy. I needed to be fed and given some water. My next door neighbor lady brought me some food and fresh water. Some days I ate weeds and dirt, I was so hungry and afraid. Our house started falling down. There was so many garbage bags and trash. I went through that too, looking for food, but the mice and rats got it first.
It rained and then it got really cold. I tried my best to stay warm. It was too hard.
Then one day, two great guys came and saved me. They took me to the doctor man. He listened to my heart, took some blood, checked my ears and eyes. He said I had worms in my heart, and hookworms , in my poopie. So now I’m being treated for that. I was very scared when I got to my new foster home. I got a bath, and boy do I feel good. I got pictures taken, so I decided to pose. Aren’t I pretty?
Now, I love my dads and my foster dog pals. I have these thing called toys to play with. It’s really wonderful.

Hi my name is Keyla. My family lost their job and had to put me in doggy jail. I was there for a few weeks and lost some of my beautiful chocolate hair. Thank goodness for the Florida Chinese Shari-Pei Rescue volunteers who saved me from doggy jail and found a loving foster family. My foster family loves me and says I am so well trained. I walk great on a leash, without pulling your arms off. I know to do my business outside and not on my foster families floor. When my family is in a rush I can be let outside without a leash. Even when bribed with treats, I won’t get on the furniture. I will sit and shake for treats. I am very friendly and obedient to others.
I live with another fury four legged Shari-Pei and he is a slob and will get on all the furniture. Him and I have our understanding that I am the Alpha dog (don’t tell him though). I like to play with him but I could live without him. Sometimes I just wish it was my foster family and me, so I could get all the attention. My foster mom says I am a special little girl who deserves lots of love.

Hi, My name is Gypsy. My foster mom and dad named me that, cause I was wandering the countryside in Gainesville. I was taken to doggie jail, but I was so skinny and sick, they moved me to the doctorman’s clinic. I had to have these things called IV’S. I had dehydrated badly. The doctor and nurses worked to bring me back to health. While I was there, I had my spay and eye surgery.

Hi everyone!  I am a very excited girl!  I was sprung from doggy jail by new friend, who says she is my foster mom.  That sounds exciting, right?  I am making friends fast!  There are two kids here, one if them has something called “autism.”  I don’t understand what it means but might mean “cool” because I really like her!  My foster dad let’s me lick his face, which is good because I LOVE to lick faces!!!

I am also excited because… well, everything excites me!  There are 2 dogs here at my foster home.  One doesn’t have much to do with me, which I guess is ok because she is lazy.  I don’t “do” lazy!  The other dog is a pug, Harry.  He is my new BFF!  We play until mom makes us stop because Harry runs out of breath.

Hi, Fushi here!
Boy, I was feeling awful before FSPR took me in. Infection in my eyes and on my butt! My foster mom put me on real good food and solid gold seameal and I am getting a medicated bath every 2 or 3 days. I feel soooooooo much better.
When I got here my coat was shaved in a lion cut so my foster mom named me fu (good fortune) shi (lion like the guardian lions) So I love the name Fushi!

My eyes are a mess but all the medicine and love are making me feel better. Please keep checking in on me. I am told every day that I am looking better and better. My foster mom said I am going to be so handsome-whatever that is!

Fushi is doing great. He skin is healing very quickly and I am very pleased about that. We will need to wait for the swelling and infection in his eyes to clear before the surgery. That may be a few weeks. He seems sweet and was terrified when he came to me. He pawed at the door at first but has settled down and I think he feels safe.

I just came from doggie jail. I’m so happy to be out of that place. They were nice to me there, but it was very noisy. it was hard for a girl to get her beauty rest.
I love my new foster home. Mom and dad are very nice, plus I have some two legged kids and four legged brothers and a sister.
Mom says I’m very skinny and small. She said I’m a mini. I’m sure a girlie girl. I told mom and dad how much I like the color pink and purple. Those are perfect for a little girl like me.
