This is Glenn. He may not be all Shar-Pei but he is all cute!
He came from Fayette county Georgia. He was a stray. He has had all his shots and medical. He is super active and loves being outside. He definitely needs a fenced yard. He is very dog selective and alpha and would be best in a home with no other dogs and definitely no cats ! He loves to go on walks and play all day. He takes a bit to warm up to you but is a lap dog once he does.
He is 50 lbs.
Scooby (aka Chubbs) came to us from Hillsboro pet resource center in Tampa. He was dropped off by his family. Scooby had skins issues and ear infections but is clearing up nicely. Poor Scooby has heart worms and is undergoing treatment.
Scooby needs a home with no children and no cats .
He is dog selective. He is very afraid at first but he he loves treats and will warm up – slowly. Scooby is being fostered in St. Petersburg.

About this Pei :
Harry is a very sweet old guy. He loves to go for long walks and meet new people. He gets along with my two dogs and cat. No food aggression even when all three dogs get treats at the same time.
Update: Harry is now 12 years old and pretty much deaf. He definitely should not be around children since he has not learned the skill of gently taking treats. He does not mean to be aggressive but just wants his treat. He is basically a sweet old man.

About this Pei :
Ollie is a young, playful and energetic pup. He loves to run in the yard and play ball. He is very smart and has already learned in his short time here to sit and shake hands for treats. He walks well on leash and is learning not to pull. He is housebroken and knows how to use his doggy door. He is a handsome pup and will be a fine addition to his forever home.
UPDATE: Ollie still needs a home and someone to share his passion for playing ball.

About this Pei :
Samurai, “Sammy” for short, came into rescue after being found as a stray in Orlando, FL. Those who found him took him in and provided for his short-term care but were unable to keep him long-term so reached out for help with him and FSPR answered their call.
Sammy is an older boy with arthritis in his hips, he is also heartworm positive, and may have some hearing loss due to chronic ear infections. Sammy requires medications on a daily basis for management of his arthritis pain and is receiving treatment for his heartworms, as well. He did have ear infections upon initial vet examination upon coming into rescue and was treated for those. Due to Sammy’s need for long-term medical treatments, donations are much appreciated so we can continue to provide for whatever care he needs.
Sammy’s foster mom says he is a very sweet old guy and he gets along well with her other dogs. He has learned the household routine and is fitting in nicely with the pack.
Please consider being a Guardian Angel for Sammy as he will likely remain in the care of FSPR until he crosses the rainbow bridge. If you would like to adopt Sammy to allow him to live the remainder of his life with you, please complete an adoption application.
About this Pei :
Hello, I’m Dora. I was rescued from the Ft. Myers shelter by two very nice ladies. The first lady came to look me over and talk to me. A few days later, another nice lady came to drive me to my new foster home. I enjoyed the car ride. Upon arrival, I met more friendly people and other pei. This place is great. Lots of room to run and wildlife to observe. My foster parents have two other pei, a tall, handsome male and a sweet older girl that also enjoy playing with toys and humans.
Foster Mom says that I am very communicative with my tail and facial expression. I like to take frequent long naps during the day and enjoy resting at night with humans and pei. I am currently being checked out by the local Vet doctor. The ladies at the Vet’s office couldn’t believe how beautiful, sweet and friendly I am toward other dogs and people.
Update: Dora has been found to have a mass on her thyroid believed to be cancerous. FSPR will continue to care for Dora for whatever time she has left. Please consider being a guardian angel for this girl, any donation received will be helpful in covering the care she needs until her time to cross the rainbow bridge.
