It looks as though Zep has a wonderful new home and 3 young boys to play with in Cape Coral, FL. His new mom reports that Zep is doing great... the boys love him! Piper found her forever home in the Gainesville area. Here's what her new family had to say... Adopting Piper into our home couldn't have been a better fit and we thank our lucky stars that Tao has easily adjusted to her being in his castle!!! Miss Lulu is not going anywhere. Foster dads, Tom & Jeff, felt they could offer her the security and love that she needed in their home in St Petersburg, FL. Luna has moved to the big city of Tampa. She has a pei sister named Jasmine. Her new mom reports: Yep, Jazzy is loving her! She's a little energetic at times for Jas (being an old girl) but Luna is starting to learn when she doesn't want to play. And Luna is definitely a part of the family forever!! She's a real sweetheart and momma's girl...doesn't want me out of her sight and likes to be touching me while she sleeps. I took her to the vet right after we got her and got her started on medicine for the bacterial skin infection she had when we picked her up and you can tell it's getting much better! Minnie did not have to travel far to find her new forever home. She won the heart of her trainer Jorge at Royal Pets in Tampa, FL and will live the life of Royalty. She changed the position of her sleeping mat so she could see us at night (very intelligent). Today is the first day of the rest of her Pawesome life for our little miss Kona. She will be joining 2 other FSPR rescues in Indiana as she has completed a trip that started out in Miami 8 months ago. What could have been a sad story turned out to be a Cinderella story thanks to a caring girl named Joanne who saved her from the shelter. Thank you Joanne and a special thank you to Holly & Darren for adopting this special little pei. We hope for lots of pictures, please :) SnowyBella came into rescue about 3 weeks ago. But it only took days for her foster family to fall in love with her. So she has become a permanent wrinkly resident of St Petersburg, FL. Thank you Gary & Linda for opening your home and heart to this wonderful pei-bei. Ebony went to her forever home in Orange Park. FL. She has a cat brother, Garfield, who she already loves to follow around. She has a fenced in yard to run around in and play as well as lots of toys and a new bed. The family has already fallen in love with Ebony and I think she is going to have a great life. Congratulations to the Bryant family on their new four legged family member! COCO found her new home in Tampa, FL. A special thanks to Vicki and her sister Ellen for saving this sweetie Pei. Here's what her new mom had to say... 'We adore her! She's a great new addition to our family. Still think she's a little unsure that she's going to get to stay and still a little anxious but otherwise doing really well. She's still having some separation anxiety with a lot of barking and whining when I leave but I anticipate that will improve with a little time and patience...she's already gotten a little less anxious with riding in the car than she was initially as I've been taking them out quite a bit to help her get used to it and so she sees that every car ride doesn't end at being in a new home all over again that we can go fun places together and come back home together...and it seems to be working. We went all the way to Palm Harbor for lunch yesterday with no whining! Other than her little anxieties she is great, she and Jasmine are like they have always been together...they snuggle to sleep and love to play together.'

Bailey is doing really well in her new home in Jacksonville, FL. She has a big fenced yard that she likes to run around in with her new brother, Kona. Hilliard, FL is Heaven for one great dog! Brewer knew he had found his little piece of Heaven when he went home with his foster family. Crinkles found a Happy Endings in Spring Hill, FL. We are so lucky to have wonderful foster families who pour their hearts into our rescues. This was no exception except their heart was stolen by this one. This little mini bear coat was surrendered to a shelter by his owner who said he killed another dog. He could not see, he was terrified and he had lost all trust of people. He skin was raw, he was almost hairless due to fleas and he also had internal parasites. Here is what they wrote: As foster parents, we began the process of earning his trust. It has been a long journey (going on 4 months), and it is still not over though I feel we are probably almost there. He has come to trust our family members and feel more secure about himself and his environment. And the best thing of all is that he is beginning to trust people outside our family that he has been exposed to multiple times, which is a huge step for him. He has been the perfect pei gentlemen with our other dogs. He plays very gently with them and has a lot fun with other dogs he’s been exposed to. We felt so connected to Crinkles and I had established such a strong bond with him, we decided that we just couldn’t be without him and decided to make our home his forever home. Thank you Wendy for helping this wonderful pei-bei and for all you guys do for rescue! Garrett has moved to his forever home in Orange Park, FL. His new family has a fenced yard that he likes to run around in. His dad is teaching him some commands and he is doing well with them. The family instantly fell in love with him and he took to the family quickly. After his first night there, he started following them all around the house and prances around with his tail up and wagging. They are happy to have had the opportunity to adopt him and look forward to spending lots of time playing with him and teaching him new tricks. Congratualtions Locke family! Whimsey found a great new home in Ft. Lauderdale, FL. She is doing great and already spoiled rotten! Here's what her new dad had to say... Well, it took up all of 5 minutes to fall in love with our new Sharpei rescue yesterday morning and decide to take her. We had car trouble on the trip home, but the great news is Whimsey did very well on the entire trip, and she's adjusting to her new home. If you can believe, she was sent to a kill shelter in late December when her prior owner died. The lady from the Sharpei Rescue had to plead to rescue her, and she had developed kennel cough during her brief time at the shelter. 30 days of antibiotics later, she was finally ready for adoption earlier this week. Here is a photo of our new little angel. Michael :-) Gus's new mom says he is wonderful. She says he is a cuddling lap dog, all 50+ pounds of him. It really sounds like he has found his forever home in Longwood, FL where he has a little girl sister, a teenage brother, and a couple of cats to play with. His now mom says... We have renamed him Nike and he is a complete joy, very well behaved. He is respectful and sleeps at the end of the bed curled up in the corner and then during the day he is such a cuddler, he loves hugs, loves his walks many times a day, and is very sweet to the cats. We are so happy with him and I believe he is really happy too!

She is a perfect little lady and is looking better and better every day. My daughter and I read a story together every night and Kiki now joins us for extra cuddles while we read to each other. We cant believe how well she fits right in with our family. We love her! Thank you! Kelly T Keegan is living with a fabulous family in Longwood, FL who runs their lives around their Pei-Beis. He had some problems with the stairs at first, but they installed motion sensor lights so they light up when he goes out the doggy door at night. He has a brother named Tebow who shares his toys nicely, and then gets to snuggle in with their granddaughter when he’s all worn out. MYLA fit in so well at her foster home that she and her foster family decided she could just stay furever. She will continue to live in the lap of luxury in Jensen Beach, FL. Tucker is living in the lap of luxury in Clearwater, FL. He is getting thoroughly spoiled, and winning the hearts of his new owner and girlfriend. Pretty soon he will be ruling the house and everything in it will be his to share with the humans. Sweet Diesel is now with his furever family in Old Town, FL. His new mom found it to be love at first site. She was so excited to get him she got on the road earlier than expected to meet us. Although without a doubt she plans to love and spoil this boy, she’s actually calling Diesel her husband’s Christmas gift (of course we know better). We even added a big red bow for him to wear when she presented him to her husband. This is a Merry Christmas for Deisel and his new family. Cher & Bean found a wonderful home in Cumming, GA. If we had been able to pick adoption candidates by hand, we could not have found better people! The fact that they drove from north of Atlanta down here with their son and their shar-pei Carlos was because of their dedication to their pets. We were thrilled to meet them and so were Cher and Bean. It was truly love at first sight. I was almost crying because of the transformation in Bean's demeanor when he met Steve. Clearly Bean's love for his foster dad Ron transferred instantly to Steve. Cher was her happy go lucky self and all piled into their car for the 6 hour drive back home!! This is what really makes rescue so worthwhile. We really miss Cher and Bean... they were great together. Cher & Bean found a wonderful home in Cumming, GA. Once again we have adopted another wonderful dog from Florida Shar Pei Rescue!!! We welcomed Maggie today and her and Jade are getting to know each other! Young, lively Meka found her forever home in Boynton Beach, FL. Her foster moms did a perfect job of finding a match for such an energetic girl. Sabrina has her very happy ending. She is living in Ocala with her new mom and little brother. Here new moms says... I have to tell you that she is a real sweetheart, of which you already know. I could not be more pleased and happy. The ride home was fine, and she investigated the entire house, and then played with Simon. Simon loves her, and she is great with him. They both played with each other's toys, and Sabrina ate her dinner, and has been finding her spots outside. Just an amazing day, and am looking forward to many years of having them both in my life. They complete my family and I am sure my Scout would have loved Sabrina as she is playful, but as gentle, and has the same sweetness about her as my Scouty. Simon is a pure delight; between the two, I feel blessed. Angus and Romeo were adopted together (yay!). They are now living it up in Palmetto, FL with a stay-at-home dad and a new furry sister, a precious Yorkie. Romeo and Angus were adopted together (yay!). Hello all from the nature coast and Hudson, FL. Well, when my new dad brought me home, I played a game with him called your it and try to catch me. The game lasted for about 20 min. He would never have caught me if I didn't have to pee on that bush. So we walked back home and dad was saying something, but he was out of breath, so I did not get the full scoop. Since I live with a Pei out of the same foster care, MIA, we're like peas and carrots again. Even my new sister CHINA likes me and she's in charge of this wrinkle operation. Their people in the park are mostly older but they sure have learned about peis. My new dads taught them well. All three of us must be on our best behavior when are with friends in the park. Well that's the background and here is the deal I found out: Dads lost their only boy Tuffy not long ago so I'm here, I think, to help them smooth things out as they say, I look a lot like him, just 70lbs lighter. I still am cautious but I know we will work everything out. shoot my dads have a retired priest down the street FR.Smith and I'm good to go now because dads say we're Buddhist pups but we're catholic. Whatever that is so I have to change. It's ok just means I get snacks from FR.Smith in the morning while I'm walking. And I have a golf cart to ride on, how cool is that? I sit right next to dad I think I'm going to like it here, plus, I get to watch animal planet TV, on one of 3 TV's, with my sisters. Dad said I'm not a good picture taker, but he will work with me on that. Timmy Annie has found her forever home in Palm Beach Gardens, FL. She was recently adopted and now has an older pei brother. Annie is going to be one spoiled pei girl with these nice people. They have 2 granddaughters, 6 and 7 years old, that are in the home after school each day so she will get plenty of little people attention, as well. We think she is going to love her new family and they her. MANNY (a.k.a. Ferdinand) is with his new family in Clearwater, FL. He is looking great and the sweetest Pei they ever known. They post almost daily pictures of him on facebook and you can see the progress he's made in just a couple of weeks. They think he was someone's well trained baby before, he's leash trained, has always done his business outside, has never had an accident inside, wants to be a chef when he grows up (he watches everything you do in the kitchen, and we tell him what we're doing) He's the first Pei they have ever seen that doesn't get on the furniture, a first for them since their past Pei were lap dogs and slept on the bed! He sits, stays, stops, backs up & slaps five on request. Manny is the silent Guardian, He lays close to front door. We have only heard him bark twice. Back there in Joplin as I was recovering from having my leg amputated, she always rubbed my head in her lap, but when we got to Florida I needed more surgery so I could open my eyes and see better. Then I had surgery on my tummy. We laid on the bed together and she rubbed my head, reassuring me about my future. I was scared and apprehensive. When would all these operations end??? Then we pulled into a driveway and a lady came out and greeted us. She hugged my foster mom. Hmmm... Was this Disney?? A small person held his hand out to me to smell, was this one of the 7 dwarfs??? I was confused but curious. Very nice, I met a dog named Gretchen. And they had cats. A nice man spoke to me in a gentle voice. Didn't look or smell like the doctor! Not Disney. But a wonderful backyard. I settled in with one of my favorite bones, and shared one with Gretchen. I started to like this family immediately. My foster mom hugged and kissed me goodbye and left me there. Hmm... not Disney, but I'm starting to feel the love from this beautiful, loving and generous family who picked me out of all the dogs from the Sharpei rescue, they wanted me!!! So now we're getting acquainted and I'll share a secret, this awesome family is sooo much better than Disney. Thank you for helping us find each other. Now I have my perfect family! Baby Samsun has joined Edy, another FSPR adopted pei-bei and one of our calendar winners this year. His new home is all the way up in Indiana. Miss SUKI has found a little piece of Pei heaven in her new home in Lakeland, FL. Little Miss Luna has found her Pei Paradise with a great loving family in Inglis, FL. She has the run of the house and a large fenced yard to explore. She has a nice bed, gets great food, and receives lots of love and scratches from her mom and dad. If that's not Pei Heaven I don't know what is. Sandy has found her pei palace in Tampa and here is what her new family has to say: It's hard to believe it been only a week. Sandy is a part of the family. She is furever :) She has claimed her spot on the bed and wrestles with Koa. She sometimes moves like a boxer too when she bounces. Such a wonderful girl. B-Bear will be staying in Pembroke Pines, FL with his foster family. He won their heart with his quiet nature and his love, love love to be petted. Another foster failure but B-Bear is safe and happy and that is what rescue is all about! Dunedin, FL is the address for our sweet Sharla. Her family had recently lost their pei girl and they and their chow mix were pining for another wrinkly. They considered fostering then met sweet Sharla and called us on the ride home and said they wanted her 'furever'. Thank you Scarlette for all your help with another wonderful pei-bei. Koko is happy in her new Ocala, FL home. She visited her new local vet and got good reviews. She and her new brother Harley are figuring out the dominance order and they have worked it out. Her new family adore Koko and so does them! They are thrilled with their new girl. Le Mei is getting lots of attention in her new Ocala, FL home. She is also going to work every day in Gainesville at the Chinese Acupuncture School, and is a big hit. The students all take turns walking her and loving on her. One of the students trains dogs, so he has been working with her and her shyness. With all that attention she will be coming out of her shell real soon.

Hey there everything is great at night, he gets in bed with Tammy in the middle right beside her. If she gets up in the night he is right there with her. Bear and our other one play great together, never once have we had a problem with him, he is great! Sascha has indeed settled in her new home in Brooksville, FL and is undisputably 'in charge'. Her new mom says... We have established a routine and she seems to be one happy camper. Although she has accepted all the other members of the household it is obvious that she has bonded primarily with me and she follows me everywhere I go in the house, and when I leave she lies by the door waiting until I get back. She is ecstatic when I finally come home. She is a perfect fit in her new home. Rosie has settled right in with her new Dad and four legged brother. She is definitely living the high life in West Palm Beach, FL. Her new dad just loves her. Way to go Rosie. Rosie also sends Pei kisses to her Guardian Angel and Foster Family. Rasha has spent the last week at her new home in Jacksonville Beach, Fl and we couldn't be happier to have her! She especially loves her new brother, Rufus, sleeping in her mommy's bed, and playing in the backyard with Rufus. She gets hugs and kisses regularly and is even learning to play fetch. Sometimes when mommy is doing her homework, Rasha forgets her size and tries to climb onto the couch and into mommy's lap to make sure she hasn't been forgotten (of course she hasn't been - who could forget such a beautiful, sweet girl?). I am such a lucky girl.... FSPR saved me and Dr. McNicolas at AVS in Jacksonville fixed my deformed hind legs so I can now run like a normal dog, but best of all, I found my forever home right here in Bushnell, FL. My foster family loves me so much they are never gonna let me leave. Yay!!! This is the life!!! Thank you so much to all of my supporters and Guardian Angels, I would have never made it without you. Love, Tootsie! Betty White is living large in Gulfport, MS. Here's what her new mom had to say... Hello, I just want to thank you for allowing us to adopt Betty (now Isabelle). We changed her name because we have a shar-pei named Bently. She is beautiful. Izzy is very sweet and has fit in wonderfully with our other 2 peis. We will keep you posted. Again, thanks for our new baby and for transporting her up the state of FL. Saydee is loving her new forever home in Tallahassee, FL. Her new mom says... We just got back from the dog park. Saydee's 3rd visit since she's been here-she's quite the star there. She and Westin are passed out on the couch right now. When we are laying on the couch, she likes to get on top of us and lay down too. She and Westin have scheduled their 'tussle' time for 6:30 AM and 1:30 PM. At those times, they just begin running around the living room like mad, and then push each other about. This lasts for about 15 minutes-then they lay down together, with his ear in her mouth, and her wrinkles in his. She likes to sun in the azalea garden, and has learned when the sprinklers are going to come on-she jets inside before the water gets her. She's been an absolute joy to have in the house. Max has moved to the New Port Richey area and has a pei sister that was also adopted from FSPR. He has a huge back yard and a loving and caring mom and dad and this lucky boy will never need or want for anything ever. Thanks James for adopting again and keep those pictures coming!

Vivian is fitting in well and really enjoying her new home here in Lake Wales, FL. She is is a perfect fit for our home and loves her walks with mommy and daddy. Bear (now known as Bean) the black/white flowered guy has made himself at home in Jacksonville, FL with an adorable little family and a rescued Shar-Pei sister named Raisin. Ginger is now living in Plantation, Fl with her Sharpei brother Max and retriever sister Gemma. Her new mom needed a playful companion for Gemma and Ginger was the perfect fit. Sweet Samantha was just what the fostered ordered. When this little girl needed to be rescued, we knew just who would take great care of her and never let her want or need anything ever. Buford, Georgia is the forever address for this little pei-bei and foster mom Joan gets all the thanks from handling rescue transport to driving across town for doctor visits. But Samantha is as good as new and has found her little piece of pei heaven! I am not sure who got the better deal, I think they both are winners. :) Charmin had a short ride to her new forever home in Panama City. Her new mom, an Air Force sergeant, had this to say - 'Charmin is doing great. The first night was awkward with everyone and I even had a hard time having to adjust to a Shar Pei that wasn't my Jasper at first. But now we are all gravy!!! She sleeps on the bed with us, I'm pretty sure she chewed up my chapstick today that I left on the bed but it could easily have been Rocco (English Bull Terrier). I have video of the two of them playing tug of war with a rope, I was laughing out loud for ten minutes and finally had to get it on my phone. She likes to attack hands and feet so I keep an eye on her when she is all energized up playing. And the cat hasn't had to hide from her once which is a first in this house so that is great to see.' TAO is now a resident of Keystone Heights, FL. Here's what his new dad says... Hi Pat, a quick word to tell you how much of a blessing Tao is to our home. He is a special, wonderful dog and we already know from the bottom of our hearts, how much we love this little guy!! It took three tries but the perfect family for the Squirtmeister turned out to be in Titusville. This family saw him months ago and waited and waited and then it was to be. Foster mom, Kathy, never gave up on him and with her help was there for him every time. Thank you to the perfect pei parents and to Kathy for being there for him! Lily is now living in Homestead, FL with her 2 new sisters, Winne a 14 year old sharpei and sugar baby a 10 year old chihuahua, she is a perfect fit in a very laid back home. We are so excited to announce Pooh has found her forever home! It was a long trip from Alabama to the Sarasota area but definitely worth it for this wonderful little girl. Her life just keeps getting better. After a rough start in life losing her owner, she went to a wonderful foster home as we waited for just the right application. And it came in the form of a previous adopter who was looking to add an especially needy girl to her brood. She fit right in and we could not be more thrilled! Kelli, thank you for all your help with Pooh and Mary, thank you for giving her a chance  This is what rescue is all about! Sugar Baby is living large in Beverly Hills - FL that is. Her new moms says she sleeps with them at night, and snuggles on the couch when they watch TV. They take her for a walk/run every morning and evening. She gets along well with their Mia. They love her very much and she seems to be happy so they hope she considers this her furever home and a perfect match. And she will live 'Happily Ever After' in a loving home in Lakeland, FL. Maizey's foster mom & dad love this adorable little pei-bei and decided the best forever home for her would be right there with them. She is a lucky and very hap-pei lady! Port St Lucie is the new forever home for this lucky little pei girl. Thankfully she was micro-chipped, so we were contacted when she was dropped at a shelter. Our boy Sawyer has settled down in Jacksonville and has bonded with his new family already. He loves to ride in the car and even went on vacation with the family. Ms Buttercup has 'warmed' her way into foster daddy Dave's heart and will be staying in St. Petersburg. She has joined the Melton clan and is safe and happy snuggling with Daddy Dave. Miss Magnolia has traveled all the way from North Alabama and now calls Ormond Beach her home. With the help of 2 great Alabama volunteers, Tammy & Rebecca, this beautiful pei and her 2 pup-peis were saved and will live wonderful lives now as pets and not puppy mill producers. Maggie has taken up residence with 3 cats, a shi-tzu and 2 human teenagers. Wrinkles rule! Otis found his forever home in Tampa where he joined Piper another FSPR rescue dog. Best word to describe the relationship between Piper and Otis is 'awesome'. They hit it off from the start. They are licking each other's faces and playing together nicely. Otis is also trying to play with the cat, who is letting him know that she doesn’t want to play. Otis and Piper took their first walk together, side by side and really well behaved.

After adopting a pei from FSPR in 2002, this great adopter returned to our rescue for another pei-bei when her beloved Chip passed. She was ready to help another pei find a forever home and Sophie was the lucky lady. She will be spending her time in Jacksonville playing with a pit mix pup and keeping mom company. Another great job Candace and thank you for helping foster this sweet pup! It was love at first sight! When we asked our Canton, GA volunteers to help foster a mom and 2 puppies from N. Alabama, they took one look at the pictures and picked out the 'light' colored pup. It didn't take long and they wrote 'Snuggles is here to stay'. So this little pei-bei will be joining 2 other FSPR adopted peis and living in N. Atlanta with a big yard and a stay at home dad. Thanks Vic, for all your help and support! Dharma is not going anywhere. She will keep calling Ocala as her home and her foster family says she is doing just fine where she is. Sweet Zada didn’t have to work hard at all to steal the hearts of her new mom and dad. Zada’s new home is in New Port Richey, FL and she shares her home with another Shar Pei that is staying for a bit while her owner is deployed in Afghanistan. She gets all the walks and treats she could ever want. Mom and Dad are so pleased with how well-behaved she is and they just love her to pieces. Bonnie came into her foster home with an unexpected package. She delivered a litter of adorable puppies and her foster parents did a great job raising them and getting them ready for their forever homes. Now she has been all fixed up so she can just be a baby herself. She is staying with her foster family in Miami along with Jenna , one of her puppies. Thank you Veronika and Alex for all those sleepless nights and for loving Bonnie so much. DaZee is living in Land-O-Lakes,FL with her 12 year old two legged best friend LJ and his mother and grandmother. From what we hear she is a very welcome addition to their family and they can't imagine life without her. Beautiful Lila has found her forever family in Jacksonville. This energetic little girl will be keeping mom and sister busy with walks and playtime since dad was deployed for a few months. She was able to be in her forever home just in time for the holidays! Our beautiful and sweet girl Shelly has a new forever address in Boca Raton. Her family is 2 birds, 2 turtles, 3 small dogs & a human brother & sister. We can't forget mom & dad and grandma too. And her new dad loves for her to lay in his lap. She is scheduled to try out to be a therapy dog next year and share her wonderful personality helping her dad with his volunteer work. Port Charlotte is home to 3 generations of pei lovers and since the passing of their elderly dog 2 years ago, they finally decided it was time to bring wrinkles back into their lifes. Ace has found the most wonderful trio of ladies from the grandmother down to the daughter and the granddaughter to shower pei kisses on. This is a story of an owner never giving up. Kong’s owners were deplored overseas and they asked a friend to keep him for them. Well, he escaped and they had no idea if he was even alive. Meanwhile an animal lover found him and housed him with her dogs as she tried to find the owner’s. Being a Shar-Pei lover, she signed up to volunteer with us and we posted “Stretch” on the rescue site. Lo and behold, Kong’s mom saw his picture on the website and contacted us. And the rest is history. Stretch a.k.a. Kong went to Jesup, GA to his owners’ new home and he will be sleeping with them, his favorite place to be. LariAnn, a special thanks to you for all you did for this young pei-bei! Mystique is never leaving! That is what her foster mom says about her. So she has become a full time resident of Jensen Beach and expects lots of presents under the Christmas tree, homemade turkey jerky for Thanksgiving and don’t forget the cookies for Santa Pat! Thanks, Candace for everything. Ringo proved his STARR value to his foster mom. She couldn’t give this great little guy up and promised him forever love. Ringo will be staying with his foster mom in Seminole, FL and joining his foster pei brother Chester, another FSPR adopted dog. Kathy, thank you for caring so much. Duke, now known as Buddy, found his Pei-fect home with a great family in Summerfield, FL. His new parents are so happy and Buddy is doing great and gaining weight. Jett is perfect, no accidents, house broken, walks with me w/o pulling, laid back and sweet. I think we're a perfect match. He loves his 2 walks a day and rawhide treats, also likes peanut butter. He has been adjusting very well with his new brothers, is listening well and is responding to sit, stay, etc. They say he is a very sweet dog, and loves to give kisses. He bonded with them quickly, and has become part of the family quite fast. Hi, this is Ming reporting from Tavares, FL and my new home. While I really enjoyed my vacation with my foster, I am glad I have a new job watching after my new person. We go on nice walks and he tells me about where I live. I have a great fenced in yard and just love to play in it. I am training my human to play with my toys; he has learned to throw it when I give him one. The news is in and it is good news for our flowered boy Brady. He is now a full time resident of Georgia. His new mom and dad had searched high and low for another pei boy after losing Elvis a few years ago, saw Brady and fell in love. He is being spoiled rotten like any good Shar-pei should be, and has found a wonderful forever home to spend his dog years in. Another great job Jimi & Linda! Mali found her forever home in the Florida Keys and joined another FSPR rescue Pei Rascal. Her new mom says... They are doing great, she has a great appetite so hopefully will start gaining some weight. We are starting to see her cute playful side and have both fallen in love with her. When we heard that her coat type might be Isabella we thought what a pretty name, so we have been calling her Bella. Lena now called Aja is very happy in her forever home. She is living in Palm Bay, FL with her mom and dad and kitty cat siblings. Her family reports 'she is so sweet'. She plays with the younger kitty and does her 'shar-pei bow'. The puppy (formerly known as Chicky) now called Poe is doing great in his new Sarasota home! His new mom says... He is ADORABLE! We are working on crate training. He is smart, loving, protective, playful, laid back, and communicates well. He has some teething and 'growing up one of eight puppies' issues to get through, but already sits and lays down when told, is learning to shake (he's teaching me to give him something when he paws my hand) knows 'outside', 'go home', 'water', 'food' and 'treat'. He has had no major potty incidents in seven days. Definitely a happy ending to a fabulous beginning. Mojito now "TEBOW" has wormed his way into his forever home in St. Petersburg, FL. He is an absolute doll, makes us laugh everyday. He loves his big brother Sansun, who is tolerating the little guy. Nala and Lena play with him and tell him when enough is enough, and he understands it well. He's doing great with potty training as well. Very cute, smart little boy. It had been a tough year for Duffy, losing his owner. He also was thought to be blind but after consultation with the specialist we found out he can see. He just has some peripheral restrictions. A wonderful family stepped up and he now is safe and secure in Valrico and comforting his new family who just had to put down their older female pei. Chester Cheeto made his foster home his forever home with his great personality and looks. He moved right in and found his way into his foster family’s heart. This is one lucky pei as he was dumped in a kill shelter and not even put up for adoption. We can't begin to tell you what a wonderful dog Thai is and how much we love him. Last night he slept through the whole entire night on his blanket next to my mom's bed. He woke up in the morning when my mom woke up and did not leave her side all morning. Tasha and Thai are getting along great. Thai is eating, taking his medicine and seems to be very happy. Tasha is slowly getting back to her old self again, she is so happy to have Thai as a playmate. Thank you for allowing us to adopt Thai and making our whole family so happy. Pooch has definitely arrived at her 'forever' home. She is my shadow, which I love. She has made all of us laugh with her little antics. When I look at her, I cannot, to the depths of my being, understand how anyone could abuse her. She is the sweetest and most gentle dog I have ever been around. Petunia has made an easy transition into her new forever home in Sunrise FL. She has a delightful male shar-pei (Rampage) to play with and the company of 3 children as well. 2009 Happy Endings! (Total 72 Adoptions)

Brewer has found a "new home" for the "new year"! His new dad says he is very happy with Brewer and that he is such a gentle dog. Brewer has also met the neighbors, and their dogs, and all is well. They bought Brewer a wonderful bed, but so far he is sleeping right next to his new dad on the floor. Hopefully the new year will bring many more Hap-Pei Endings like this one. Thumper got his Christmas wish and went to a great family in Lutz, FL. They are thrilled with the boy. Thumper has made fast friends with their Basset hound. He met the cat and faced off with him. The cat hissed and swatted but now all is quiet. Just in time for Christmas! I just wanted you to know that everything is going great!!! We renamed him Jerzey and we taught him how to sit and give his paw too!!! He is wonderfull, very smart, and has made our family complete!!! Thank you again so much for letting us help 'Jerzey'!! Lizzie is now living in South Florida with her new family. Her parents were so excited to get her, they had to have her as soon as she arrived in the area. She reminded them of the Pei they had just lost and needed her to fill the void in their heart. Lissie says... 'thanks to my new family I will have a wonderful holiday'.

Tre has found his forever home in Gator (UF) country. He greets his new dad every day with pei paws looking for play and love. Of course, he won over his new mom immediately with his personality. Dolce' has found her forever home. She met her new family at the Tampa Adoptathon and they just fell in love. She has a new Pei buddy named Koby and they hit it off right away. Mom, Dad and Koby also love having a new walking partner. Winnie has found her forever home. She has a mom and dad and a big sister named Ming. Her new mom reports that Winnie is asserting herself, and may take over the household. She loves her crate, got a clean bill of health at the vets, and is happiest just laying by mom and dad's feet. He now has a new mom and dad, two human brothers, one human sister and a canine sister. They are all planning to live happily ever after. It is with great happiness that I am able to report that Rufus has been adopted!! His new family wanted a shar-pei mix and it had been a dream of his new dad to name a dog 'Rufus' since he was teenager. Sounds like fate to us and a match made in heaven. Rufus now has 6 acres to run around in. We are very pleased to move this wonderful, goofy dog to 'happy endings.'

Trapper has found his new life, family and a wonderful home in Jacksonville. He was shy with them but he does not have a mean bone in his body. Scallywag decided to stay in port, with his foster family. He plans to retire from a life at sea and spend his days chasing birds, squirrels, and the occasional cat. His foster parents have fallen in love with this little rascal and it could not be a better home for him. Manny has a great home with lots of Pei brothers and sisters. When we got there he gave his new mom a kiss on the nose and then slept on her bed with his head on her stomach all night! Pretty good for a boy who ran from people two weeks ago! Just goes to show what a little love will do! Here's to second chances! Brutus has found his forever home. His new mom says he is a wonderful boy, incredibly good natured, gentle, funny, well mannered, and intellegent... Just perfect really! Princess returned to a familiar place after we tracked down her original owners. She was re-joined with her actual canine mom and brother and is now playing just like she had never left.

Tigger didn't have to go too far to find his forever home. His foster mom fell so in love, she couldn't bear to give him up. He is safe and happy with mom and several little four legged friends, as well. Luca is now Sharpie like the pen. Little Leah/Lily went to visit her potential forever parents, and it was instant love. Their Pei, Ace liked her, mom Ronnie and dad Harry, just loved her. She walked in to their house and decided she was staying. She grabbed a bone and settled down on the persian rug, for a marathon chew fest. They were worried how she would be in a storm, so Mr. thunder and lighting rolled in while we were there. The girl didn't even bat an eye. This is one lucky little princess. Wrinkles made the trip to Biloxi, MS to his new forever home and his new family is as excited as he is. He has a new Pei sister, "Lucy" who liked him immediately and they played together for hours until they collapsed on the cool tile kithen floor to rest. Who says you can't hit the jackpot in Biloxi?!

Jakob settled into his new home as soon as his paws hit the ground!! He has a female shar-pei buddy and also a Doberman to play with. Pearl has been adopted and is having a great time with her new Mom. Pearl is a happy little lady as she has found herself the perfect home. It really is the perfect scenario for Sony, they have an older dog that will be his companion. Sony has traveled a long road and finally has found his own home. When Zoe’s foster mom first met her in 2006 and adopted her to a family in 2007, she never expected to find the gorgeous little brushcoat dumped in a pound hundreds of miles away 2.5 years later. FSPR volunteer Leigh couldn’t stand the thought of adopting her out again and promises to give her a real forever home in Jacksonville, enjoying her rescue brother Fred’s company and lots of love. We’re still looking for you Michael Trombley. Bentley has found his new forever home in Lamont, FL and is enjoying the company of his human family, a canine siblings and four feline siblings. They love him and even let him hog the bed sometimes. Koda didn't have to go far to find his forever home. He is staying with his foster parents, who absolutely adore him. Lilly Mey is now in her forever home in Spring Hill, FL. She's totally in love with her new family and just adores their two little girls! They said she checked out the whole house and found it quite suitable for her. They have become amazing cheerleaders for the breed and our rescue, showing Lilly Mey off to all their neighbors and telling them what wonderful companions they are. It was a long trip but worth every mile as Morgan is now a Minnesota resident. His new pei sister Odie has started playing again and even Jed the cat is playing follow the leader with him. Morgan has a huge yard and tons of love and his new mom says he hasn't stop smiling since he arrived. Rosie was supposed to come to Tampa to a new foster home but divine intervention happened in the form of Pastor Peggy and Rosie found the Pei-fect family in West Palm Beach. Bear found his new forever home all the way up in Canada. He got to experience flying for the first time and is looking forward to also experiencing lots of snow in his new home. Chewy has found his forever home in Cape Coral and has three little girls who love and snuggle him to pieces. He is smart and well adjusted; he is the perfect additon to the family. Ms Ban Lu met her new forever mom today and was happy to see she had a new leash and collar for her and a hammock set up in the back of the car to 'cradle' her all the way home. When she got home she did great and didn't bother the cats at all. She was last seen resting on the back deck after her big day. Ain't life grand? Mr. Will found his forever home and he was adopted by a wonderful couple. He's gonna have it rough, big beautiful home, 3-4 walks a day and rides in the golf cart. Oh yeah, poor baby has a toy box full of toys and 2 thick dog beds to lounge on. Sully has been adopted by his foster family and here's what they had to say... We as a family decided to adopt Sully. We decided we couldn’t live without him and I think he knew something was up. He’s been very clingy and affectionate this past week and very nervous about getting in the car… he also wouldn’t let me take any pictures of him so maybe he knows. He wouldn’t be able to go out to another family and we would miss his crazy self. He also has a boxer girlfriend next door. Freddie has found his forever home in Land-O-Lakes FL. His new family says... We love him, he is definitely a keeper. He is cool and loves going on walks. He sleeps at the foot of my bed and gives great kisses. Sugar Bear found her forever home in the WPB area. Her hap-pei new life includes a loving family with a 5 year old human grandson, a Chihuahua, and 2 rescue felines. She is one lucky little lady! Charlee Chan will now be rooting for the Steelers as his new home is in Pittsburg. He joins another FSPR pei and even has some cats to keep warm. Zach has made it to his new furever home and is doing well. He spent his first thirty minutes looking under beds for kittys that are long gone. Baxter was adopted by a loving family in the Jacksonville, FL area. He has several human siblings. Ren was adopted by a young lady in Georgia. She is fitting right in to the family, making friends with everyone! Henry was adopted by a loving family in South Florida that fell in love with him from the moment they saw him. He has a cat sibling too! Booker was adopted by a lovely couple in Naples. We knew it was a match made in heaven when they immediately got into the grass to roll around with Booker. He will be sharing his home with another rescue dog… a Boxer!

Dewey was adopted by a lovely family and now lives happily with another doggy brother. Ruffles was just adopted by a wonderful young lady in New Port Richey. He loves to give kisses and hasn't stopped since he's been in his new home. He has a newly fenced back yard to call his own and a Mommy that loves him to pieces! Cooper was adopted by a family in Gainesville, FL. They had just recently lost their older dog and have a one-year old Mastiff, Gus, that was very lonely. He and Cooper hit it off, so now they are brothers! Shadow was recently adopted by a lovely family. He absolutely loves his new home and has even learned some pretty cool tricks, like high-five!

One day, a terrific young man came and adopted Rusty (fawn) from FSPR. Six weeks later, he decided Rusty needed a companion and he came back for Sheba (black). As you can see from the picture, they had a really hard time adjusting to each other (that picture was taken on the ride home!).
