UPDATE: Odin was seen by Dr. Dan Brown (ophthalmologist) for suture removal and post-operative care on August 13th. Dr. Brown was very pleased with the surgical results, and Odin has regained his ability to see once again. We are looking for a forever home for Odin and his soul mate Sasha. They were surrendered to Rescue together and are like two peas in a pod. It would be wonderful if we could continue to keep them together, but if necessary would consider separation. If you have a place in your home and in your heart for one or both of these two special dogs, they would be forever grateful.
Odin was in the same situation as Sasha. He had no vet care and was always outside with no chance to play. Odin is neutered and up-to-date on all shots. He, too, is heartworm positive and has poor eyesight. He has a cherry eye and the other eye has some damage as well. We are very hopeful that his eye surgery will restore his vision. For the present time, Sasha’s eyes are his eyes. She guides him and he follows. Sasha and Odin are good buddies, and we would like to keep them together.
About this Pei :
Odin is tentative about his movements and usually stays fairly close to Sasha. They love to play tug of war with a towel and are starting to carry around toys as well. Odin has acclimated to life indoors and he and Sasha have come a long way. They still have a medical journey ahead of them with their eye surgeries. Coming from lives of extreme sadness and neglect, they are now enjoying life and awaiting a home of their own.
