About this Pei : 
Polar was  found  west of Sebring, Fl  in a rural area. He was thought to be a stray and was picked up by animal control. His overall coat and health seemed good and because of this we do not think he had been a stray for very long. He was very hesitant with strangers and it has taken a while for him to warm up. He is now very affectionate with both my husband and myself. He will play and run around like a puppy. He wants to be an inside dog that also has a fenced in backyard to play in….a pet door to the outside would be perfect! Polar will be a good watchdog and companion as well. Polar MUST have a fenced back yard and an owner with patience and experience with the breed. His coat is thick like a brush coat but much softer. He is Pei in overall appearance but with a smaller face. He is a good eater and has never messed in his kennel. He has learned to sit, give high five, and down. What a smart guy!!!

Polar will do well in  a quiet home perhaps with a person who works from home or  is retired. He is a mix but as mentioned, his body is typically Pei but with a smallish face. We have grown close to him and really want him to have a chance for a forever home.
