About this Pei : Elsa is a sweet southern gal from Tennessee, who was owner surrendered to a shelter and made her way to Florida. This young girl has adapted very well to her Florida foster home and gets along with the kids, the resident pei, and the cat. She is a strong-willed girl, but what else would you expect from a true southern belle? 🙂
One of Elsa’s foster moms in Tennessee had this to say about her, “She is incredibly sweet and good natured. Great with people. Loves to play and doesn’t play too rough. She is comfortable being hugged and doesn’t mind being touched around her face, ears, or paws. She is not destructive so can be left alone, but she likes to be able to see her humans. She can be stubborn, though, and will sit down when on a leash and not wanting to go where she is being led. Overall she is a great dog and would do well in an active home.”
Since coming to Florida, Elsa’s foster mom, here, has done some training with her and agrees Elsa can be stubborn and a little skittish upon initial meeting, but is also a really good dog. She has bonded well with her foster mom and her teenage human foster sister. A successful forever home for Elsa should include someone who is stronger-willed than she is, someone who can continue to work with her to overcome her stubborn personality quirks.
