Deacon is in need of all vetting before being available for adoption.  He also has cherry eye in both eyes that will require surgery and a luxating patella on one of his rear legs that will be addressed by an orthopedic specialist.

About this Pei :
My name is Deacon and I am brand new to Florida Shar Pei Rescue.  A very nice lady rescued me from my home where I spent all the time outside.  She saw I had these things called cherries in my eyes and said I needed to go to a doctor to get them out.  I’m not really sure what any of that means but I am happy to be here and get to sleep inside now.  I do still like to play outside and I really like to be close to my humans and give lots of kisses.

I spent a couple of weeks with a very nice man and he had a whole bunch of shar pei dogs.  He called me smiley because he said I was always happy and it looked like I was smiling all the time.  He brought me to another nice lady in Florida and I am now settling in at my foster home.  There are things called toys here and foster mom says I am supposed to play with them.  I have never had toys before.  This place is great!  I hope I can find a forever home of my own with lots of my own toys, too.  It’s going to be a little while before I can go to a forever home but keep an eye on me and let the nice people at FSPR know if you want me to come live with you forever.
